Pacific Coast Skydiving highly recommends tandem for your first skydive. Tandem skydives require minimal training and maintain the highest degree of safety. Your instructor will be with you through the entire skydive and parachute ride. Enjoy the great views for your first jump.

Tandem Jump At Pacific Coast Skydiving

Welcome to Pacific Coast Skydiving! We would like you to arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to fill out your waivers, pay and meet your instructor. Showing up without an appointment does not gaurantee that you will skydive. We may already be booked for that day but if we can squeeze you in, you will need to wait a long time until everyone with an appointment is done with their skydives. If you wake up one morning and say to yourself, "Today is the day I want to jump out of a plane," call us and we will do our best to schedule a spot for you.

Before your jump, you will meet with your instructor. Each tandem instructor teaches his own student what to do to make his or her experience the safest and most exciting!  If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Don't be scared, be excited! Skydiving is one of the coolest things you'll ever do in your life. All of our boys are USPA certified and have between 7,000 and 12,000 jumps. Your instructor will help you into your harness and perform a safety check on the gear. 

Walking to the airplane comes next. When you hear the engine roar, you will feel a surge of energy and know you are ready. Once we take off, we fly over Imperial Beach. You will see downtown San Diego, Coronado, The Silver Stand and even Mexico! The view is amazing!!

Finally, at about two miles high, your instructor will ask you to assist him in getting ready for the skydive. You will know it's time to go when the door opens and the wind comes whirling through the plane.

Right before you jump the camera will be pointing at you as you look down at the earth. READY,,, SET<<< GO!!!!!! Don’t forget to smile and keep your eyes open! Everything happens really fast! You will freefall for over 40 seconds at 120mph. You feel like you are flying as your video camera captures it all. Amazing!

When your parachute opens, you will feel the wind stop and you will be peacefully floating down from 5000 feet. Your parachute ride lasts about 5 to 7 minutes depending on how many spins and turns you want to do. You can steer the parachute and ask your instructor questions about the jump.Make sure you purchase the video,so the camera can capture the whole experience!

Landing back at the landing area will surprise you with the ease that people land their parachutes. Yeah! You did it! If you have purchased the video (which we highly recommend) we will edit it for you right away. You can take your video home with you and relive your skydive over and over again!
